Itinerary
DAY 1
ARRIVAL IN PARO: ENTERING THE HIMALAYAS

Your flight descends through narrow corridors of Himalayan peaks before touching down in the emerald Paro Valley. A private transfer brings you to your lodge, set amid pine forests and open farmland. The afternoon is intentionally unstructured — time to rest, acclimatize, and observe the gentle cadence of Bhutanese life as evening prayers drift across the valley. Meals included: Dinner.

DAY 2
PARO CULTURAL HERITAGE: SACRED HERITAGE & QUIET RITUAL

Today unfolds at an unhurried pace, introducing Bhutan’s spiritual and historical foundations. Explore Paro Rinpung Dzong, rising above the river with whitewashed walls and deep red towers. Continue to the National Museum, where artifacts quietly trace centuries of belief and craftsmanship. At Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, butter lamps flicker softly, offering a moment of stillness and reverence before returning to the lodge. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 3
TIGER’S NEST: PILGRIMAGE THROUGH PINES

An early start leads to the forested trail of Taktsang Monastery. The ascent winds gently upward, prayer flags fluttering overhead and distant valley views opening with each turn. Time is taken to pause, breathe, and absorb the atmosphere of devotion that surrounds Bhutan’s most sacred site. After reaching the monastery and lingering in quiet contemplation, descend at your own pace and enjoy a restful afternoon back at the lodge. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 4
DAY 4 – PARO TO THIMPHU: THE ROAD EAST

Follow the Paro River as it widens and transforms on the drive to Thimphu. En route, small temples and chortens invite brief stops, offering glimpses into daily devotion. Upon arrival, the capital reveals itself softly — a place where monks, artisans, and civil servants move through the streets with unspoken harmony. The remainder of the day is relaxed, allowing you to settle into Thimphu’s calm rhythm. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 5
THIMPHU EXPLORATION: LIVING TRADITIONS

A deeper exploration of Bhutan’s cultural heart. Visit artisan workshops where traditional arts are preserved through patient, generational practice. At the Folk Heritage Museum, step inside a traditional home to understand everyday life beyond the monasteries. Conclude at Tashichho Dzong, the spiritual and administrative center of Bhutan, its courtyards alive with ritual and quiet authority as evening light softens the scene. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 6
THIMPHU TO PUNAKHA: OVER THE CLOUD PASS

The journey climbs toward Dochula Pass, where 108 chortens emerge through drifting mist. When skies are clear, the Himalayas reveal themselves in a silent panorama. Descending into Punakha Valley, the landscape warms — rice fields replace pines, rivers slow, and the air softens. Visit Punakha Dzong, dramatically poised at the meeting of two rivers, before settling into the valley’s gentler pace. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 7 – PUNAKHA VALLEY
DAY 7 – PUNAKHA VALLEY: RIVER, VILLAGE, STILLNESS

A leisurely morning walk passes through rural villages and emerald rice fields, where daily life unfolds without spectacle. Cross a suspension bridge swaying gently above the river, leading to quiet corners of the valley rarely hurried through. The afternoon is open — time to rest by the river, enjoy spa treatments, or simply watch the light shift across the fields as the valley exhales into evening. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 8
PUNAKHA TO GANGTEY: INTO OPEN SPACE

Travel deeper into Bhutan’s highlands toward the Phobjikha Valley, where the land opens wide and silence becomes expansive. Visit Gangtey Monastery, standing serenely above the valley floor, its presence anchoring both landscape and spirit. As dusk approaches, the stillness of the valley settles in, inviting reflection and unhurried rest at your lodge. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 9 – GANGTEY & RETURN
DAY 9 – GANGTEY & RETURN: VALLEY FAREWELL

Spend the morning exploring Phobjikha’s wetlands and open meadows, a sanctuary for black-necked cranes in season. Gentle walks and moments of pause allow the valley to imprint itself slowly. Later, begin the return journey toward Paro, carrying with you the quiet spaciousness cultivated over the days. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 10
DEPARTURE: A CALM CONTINUES

A private transfer to the airport marks your departure from Bhutan. Though the journey concludes, the sense of calm — shaped by mountains, monasteries, and mindful pacing — continues onward with you. Meals included: Breakfast.
